Με ιδιαίτερη επιτυχία πραγματοποιήθηκε την Τρίτη 11 Σεπτεμβρίου η συνέντευξη Τύπου για την 1η Ευρωπαïκή Αθλητική Διοργάνωση για την Ψυχική Υγεία, στο Γραφείο του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου στην Αθήνα.
Ο κ. Χάρης Κούντουρος, Αναπληρωτής Επικεφαλής του Γραφείου του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου στην Αθήνα, άνοιξε τη συζήτηση αναφερόμενος στη βασική προτεραιότητα του Ευρωπαïκού Κοινοβουλίου να στηρίζει πρωτοβουλίες που συμβάλλουν στην αναβάθμιση της ποιότητας ζωής και των δικαιωμάτων των ευρωπαίων πολιτών. Ένα γεγονός που επιβεβαίωσε και η κυρία Κλημεντίνη Διακομανώλη, Εκπρόσωπος της Αντπροσωπείας Ευρωπαïκής Επιτροπής, υπογραμμίζοντας τη σημασία και τον ουσιαστικό ρόλο που κατέχει το πρόγραμμα Erasmus+ στην υλοποίηση έργων με επιστημονική και πρακτική υπόσταση. Υπογραμμίζοντας την ανάγκη για μια Ευρώπη που οι φωνές και οι ανάγκες όλων των πολιτών θα ακούγονται και θα έχουν δυναμική, αναφέρθηκαν, τόσο ο κ. Κούντουρος όσο και η κυρία Διακομανώλη, στη σημασία της συμμετοχής όλων μας στις επικείμενες Ευρωπαïκές Εκλογές.
Στη Συνέντευξη Τύπου παρευρέθηκαν οι εκπροσώποι από τις Πρεσβείες της Τσεχίας, Beata Lejtnarova και της Κροατίας, Zvonimir Sviben, καθώς και οι εκπρόσωποι της Ελληνικής Ποδοσφαιρική Ομοσπονδία (Χαράλαμπος Ζελενίτσας-Τεχνικός Διευθυντής, Μιχαήλ Κουτσούρης, Διευθυντής Στρατηγικής Ανάπτυξης και Γεώργιος Βασσάλος, εκπαιδευτής futsal ) και της Ελληνικής Ομοσπονδίας Ποδηλασίας (Βλαδίμηρος Πέτσας, Διευθυντής) - οι οποίες έχουν θέσει υπό την Αιγίδα τους την 1η Ευρωπαïκή Αθλητική Διοργάνωση για την Ψυχική Υγεία - καθώς και του Ευάγγελου Κυριαζόπουλου, Γενικού Γραμματέα του Δήμου Γαλατσίου.
Χαιρετισμό απηύθυνε η Πρόερος του ΚΣΔΕΟ ΕΔΡΑ, Μαρία Κερασόγλου, αναφερόμενη στην γενικότερη δράση του φορέα στον τομέα της ψυχικής υγείας αλλά και στη σπουδαιότητα της συγκεκριμένης πρωτοβουλίας, για τη σύνδεση του αθλητισμού και της σωματικής άσκησης με την ψυχική υγεία, όπου η ΕΔΡΑ έχει τη συντονιστική και οργανωτική ευθύνη. Αναλυτικά στη φιλοσφία και στους στόχους της τριήμερης Διοργάνωσης αναφέρθηκε ο κύριος Νίκος Ανδρεόπουλος, project manager EVENTS Project, ενώ λεπτομέρειες για τη διάρθρωση του προγράμματος των αθλητικών δραστηριοτήτων δόθηκαν από την υπεύθυνη αθλητικού προγράμματος, Ψυχολόγο/Επιστήμων Φυσικής Αγωγής, Ελεωνόρα Μάρκου.

The Press Conference for the 1st European Sport & Physical Exercise Event for Mental Health held in the European Parliament Liaison Office in Greece, on September 11th, 2018, organized by K.S.D.E.O. EDRA, was successfully completed.
Mr. Haris Kountouros, Deputy Head of the European Parliament Liaison Office in Greece, in his introductory note, highlighted the priority of European Parliament to support initiatives which contribute to the improvement of quality of life and defense the EU citizens' Rights. The argument was confirmed by Ms. Klimentini Diakomanoli, Head of the European Commission Representation in Greece, who underlined the important role of Erasmus+ program for the implementation of scientific and hands-on programs.
For a Europe united, fair, within all voices being heard, Mr. Kountouros and Ms. Diakomanoli, both emphasize for the importance of all EU citizens participation in the imminent European elections.
Ms. Kerasoglou Maria, the President of K.S.D.E.O. EDRA, the coordinator organization of EVENTS project, with a welcome address to the participants, referred to the actions of the Organization as well as to the importance of this initiative and its connection among the fields of Sport, Physical Exercise and Mental Health.
Mr. Nikos Andreopoulos, the Project Manager of EVENTS project, presented the philosophy featuring the goals of the program and focusing special attention on the importance of the European Network of the field, the ENALMH Network.
Then, Ms. Eleonora Markou, Head of sports program, Psychologist / Physical Education and Sport Science expert, presented the program of the three-days-event and noteworthy information about the volunteers and the attendance and participation of the general public.
Representatives from the Hellenic Football Federation (Charalampos Zelenitsas, Technical Director, Michael Koutsouris, Director of Strategy and Development and Georgios Vassalos, Futsal Trainer) as well as Mr. Vladimiros Petsas, Director at Hellenic Cycling Federation participated in the Conference. Mr. Evangelos Kiriazopoulos, General Secretary of the Municipality of Galatsi also spotlighted the importance of their participation, as a Municipality, in this European dimension initiative.
Ms. Beata Lejtnarova, Cultural Section, Embassy of the Czech Republic and Mr. Zvonimir Sviben, Minister Plenipotentiary, Embassy of the Republic of Croatia attend also the Press Conference, confirming the supportive role of the embassies to the Sending Organizations of their countries.
